Yes keep them, and find ways to use them to promote this city and bring in revenue. There is opportunity with them, we just have to figure out where it is at and put it to work. If a small town in Kansas with a population base of 6000 can find ways to utilize trolleys and generate revenue with them a city of over 75,000 can certainly come up with solutions. Problem solve it, use what we were all taught in college and find solutions that work. Lets get the dust off these things.
I would think the visitors bureau could use them to escort different groups around the town. It would be nice for out of town peole to have tours on them. Also fun for the kids who have never experienced a trolley but maybe the kids today don't want to experience it.
I really liked the old caboose parked at Ramada for visitors. It is hard for tourists coming in town to find the new visitors bureau at the East Side Library. The caboose was easily spotted. Guess I am getting old and don't like change.
Papa I agree. I couldnt tell anyone today where the visitors bureau is. Only reason I know now is that you posted it. Before, I could always tell them...go to the red caboose at Ramada. I was kinda sad when they took that away. Who knew I cared? It was cute!
Why, should the city hang onto the trolleys. They haven't used them in years and seem to have no intentions of using them. If they don't want to sale them, how about lease. They could control how they are used and bare no expense.

yes, if there is a profitable plan to use them.

I think it is as simple as use them or lose them.
