Illegal aliens are guilty of being in the country illegally. Arrest them all and either deport them or stick them in jail and have them do hard labor to earn their keep. Do that and they will quit coming in illegally!
Need shovel ready jobs? Build the border fence. Hire more border guards and set up a bus lines going south on that NAFTA superhighway we keep hearing about and send them home. With unemployment pushing 10% we can't spare the jobs. Kansas and Missouri politicians take note.
I beleive firmly that if they are here illegally, then they should be deported, at the expense of the employers who illegally gave them work, and salary. This would take the burden of paying for deportation off from the back of the government. It would also prevent employers from hiring illegals, maybe they would look at the credentials a little closer.
Also consider that not having a vast pool of illegal workers who will work for less than the prevailing wages forces employers to pay more for wages. That may drive up the cost of some items, but it also drives up the amount of money that Americans have to spend. I should make it clear I am not anti immigrant. If you come to this country legally, then we will welcome you, if you sneak in the back door then we don't want you.
Timothy_Dike, we have to start somewhere to dig ourselves out of the hole. It is kind of like the Stimulus package on a different scale. If we pay more for something making sure it is American Made, and that money goes back into American towns, it will stimulate more growth, and in turn, raise wages, or create more jobs, which will give more people money to spend. Currently, the majority of money spent in the US today is going overseas in one way or another. The only thing I would like to see is the Made in USA tags to read Made in USA by Lawful American Citizens.
having illegal immigrants here is modern day slavery, you would not let little own expect law enforcement to sit by and let slavery happen so why continue to let them be here and abused by corporations. fine the corporations and get these people back across the border! oh and not just a southern thing but both borders and our ports should be secure!
The people have spoken Law Enforcement now go enforce some laws. It may be a waste of time in your eyes but is will inconvenience the illegals and hopefully the people who employ them. This may in turn cause them to lose their jobs and hopefully go back to THEIR homes.
They are not going to go back as long as they are getting food stamps, free health care, and money to send home to bring more accross the border! They can even protest here with out getting into trouble! Just look at the head of homeland security; she sat in her office in Phoenix and let them protest right in front of her and did nothing!
Thank you for this poll :)
