Nominations for the Nobel prize had to be in by 1 Feb 09. Obama was only in office 12 days ! What could he possibly
have done his first 12 days of office to warrant this prize ?!?! Maybe we should check the spelling...he could have won the Nobel PIECE prize. He has certainly contributed to a large piece of debt !

Yes, because he was only in office 12 days sways my vote. He may, in the future deserve to win this award. Only time and his actions will tell. Still folks, let's give this man a chance. The last guy got 8 years and what did we get? Unjustified war with loss of life for no clear reason, debt, and unemployment. The rich got richer, the middle class got lowered, the poor got poorer. We are clearly a nation with a poor memory, in a state of tumoil. Are we ever going to do anything to change? Let's please give "PEACE" a chance. War will not accomplish anything except kill patriotic Americans, so the rich can count their money.

Medadio, I will agree that 0bama may actually earn this award in the future. But to give it to him based on his "good intention" is wrong. I see it as an attempt by the Nobel committee to bribe him into acting the way they want.

Oh and Scratchy, don't get to excited about the vote tally here. As we speak the mass emails are going out to Democrats telling them to support their president and come vote in this poll. I predict a much closer vote with 800 or more voting.

The Nobel Peace Prize has just been made a worthless trinket. It was awarded based on campaign promises! Anyone who thinks the award is justified is a complete moron.

Can someone help me understand how disagreeing with Obama wining a Nobel Prize based on 11 days in office has anything todo with Saint Joseph Being stuck in the past? seems like when there is no real reason for people to support something then they must attack those who realy do have merit on this disagreement.

Looks like someone in the Yes category has figured out how to clear cookies and re-vote. It also looks like someone in the No category has figured it out as well. It's the battle of the cookies. Too bad the poll printed in the hard copy paper was so skewed to Yes. That's the Chicago/Acorn/Obama way, vote early and vote often.

There seems to be pattern here, Al Gore for his work on the bogus man made global warming, now obama for running such a good campaign. I vote this bogus prize go the way that Acorn should!

Clearing your cache won't allow you to record more than one vote. The site records your IP address and will only allow one vote from that. The dramatic increase in votes is from the emails going out to Democrat supporters. As of now the vote count is 1000 far more than normal. I am surprised that the numbers are not favoring 0bama. But I think what is happening here is that there are a lot of Democrats out there scratching their heads and wondering why he got the award too. I suspect that conservative Dems are not happy with the perverse way that congress and 0bama are spending right now. I'm betting 2010 will not be a good year for the big spenders.
