Sex offender faces new charge
by St. Joseph News-Press
Wednesday, February 6, 2008

A registered sex offender is in jail again on a state charge alleging child molestation.

David Alexander, 34, was arrested on a warrant Monday charging him with first-degree child molestation.

A probable cause statement alleges he sodomized a child one or more times between Sept. 1 and Oct. 31.

Court records show that Mr. Alexander is a registered sex offender who has a past history of forcible sodomy. The defendant has a prior Buchanan County conviction for forgery.

Mr. Alexander will be arraigned before Associate Circuit Court Judge Ronald Taylor at 8:15 a.m. Friday. He is being held in the Buchanan County Jail in lieu of posting a $75,000 bond.

OK. This is a perfect example of why these people should not be walking free. Commit a crime against a child - loose your freedom. FOREVER! period. C'mon Mr. Shields, spend your time more wisely on something that will provide safety for society, instead of renaming a piece of hwy!!!!!

Yet another reason to lock up these scumbags for life. Build more prisons if needed. Heck, it will bring more jobs to the state.
