I was not told to enter the star button, lucky for me I did not make that call, I called the Highway Patrol to double check as I had asked the guy (who said he was a Missouri State Trooper) for his name and badge number and his office number. They were very helpful at HiPo and told me it was a scam. I called ATT anyway, even though I did not call the number and they said push *73 on your phone because that number they have you call places forwarding on your phone and the *73 will remove it. They also said they can't tell until your bill comes out if you have any calls from that number or not so call the phone company to get it on record so you won't be responsible for the charges if it goes through and also watch your bill closely.

Lets hold judgement until we hear the whole story. I am not acusing the girls of any wrongdoing and I pray for their speedy recovery but I have witnessed so many times kids walking on sidewalks and along streets tormenting animals fenced or chained. You can't expect animals to just keep taking it. Most are smart enough to know when someone is being malicious and will react accordingly. I'm interesed in what the girls were doing.

What is wrong with the draft other than the dodgers? It would give some credence to those that complain about the soldiers going over there now against their will. They joined of their own free will, what did they think would happen? Everyone, male and female, should be eligible. I beleive all kids need some sort of boot camp to learn repsect that parents are not teaching anymore. And before anyone says it, I am retired military, my husband is still military and I have a son in Marine Corps boot camp, of his own choice. I am proud of my service, my husband and my son. No I don't want to see them killed in war and I feel for those who have lost, but I am tired of listening to everyone whine and complain and blame the military.

what a joke...the fact that 4 attorneys have turned down this case should tell you something...
Why is it so inconceivable that there be a recycling program that is not tied to the trash service? I am glad I live outside city limits and would not have to use the city trash service if they should make the unwise choice and mandate that everyone use the same company. And before anyone suggests it, yes I have trash service and no I don't have garbage museums or critter condos on my property. I'd like to see an independent, reliable, affordable recycling service offered separate from trash service. Anyone know of one? I think I saw it a while back on here that there was a small company in town doing that.
On It’s still a complicated issue
why wouldn't it warrant punishment chooseliberty? It is littering if they leave it up after the sale. Officers drive around town all the time, it would take very little effort to write down the address of those left up. Then is is passed to someone else. Where does all the expense come from that would be so much more than paying crews to take them down? Good grief, they can't get the grass mowed, how are they going to work in taking down all those signs. It's part of the deal, you put them up, you take them down. The only way to get these irrisponsible people to do what they should is to have consequences. That is a major issue in this town. Consequences are not enforced, only threatened so no one pays any attention to them anymore. You gotta start somewhere. It's not about being high priority, it's about city ordinances being enforced, big and small. If they are too small to enforce then why have them in the first place.

In what schools are the janitorial staff not around students? I know 4 individuals who are janitors at SJSD schools and schools in other states and they have a lot of contact with the students. If they work in the building at all when students are present they need to be checked out. I don't care how much it costs (maybe one less teacher workshop?). Or are you telling me that cost is more important than the safety of the kids? The district prevented someone from attending his childs graduation because of his background but yet they will let others work around our kids every day without checking backgrounds. Screwed up logic to me...

Explain to me how only 75-80% of that 13.5 million went to directly support children. Isn't that money ordered to be paid by the courts for child support. No wonder all child support has to go through the courts, this way they get their 'take' of it. I am just very greatful I don't have to deal with this awful system that does not work for anyone other than the "system" that gets to keep 20-25% of 13.5 million.
On Child-support system leaves some frustrated
She should have been charged with child endangerment for not having those kids in seat belts and if not for all of them at least for the youngster who was not in a booster seat. Makes you wonder about the selectivity of charges that are brought and the tickets that are issued. How do they justify issuing tickets to some for seat belt violations if not for all. I am glad as well that no one was seriously hurt although I can't believe they all refused treatment...

Thank goodness. I am tired of sitting in traffic while those that do not obey the do not pass construction zone, including a large number of semi's pass me to cut in at the cones. Of course the idiots that let them cut in are part of the problem as well. If people did not let them cut in and made them sit and wait at those cones it would probably cut down on some of it. I've seen motorcyclists and cars pass people on the shoulder to cut in further up the road. This is all North bound traffic and not during peak rush hours. What good does posting construction zone traffic rules do when no one enforces them. Seems that would be a great way for the county to up their revenue. Park out at the construction zones and ticket those speeding and passing. It would make things safter for the construction workers as well.
