whoisjohngalt--obviously you read more into my post than I wrote. I didn't say they should bend over backwards for everyone. I said they bend over backwards for those who purchase cars from them. I didn't say a word about them bending over backwards for others. YOU need to think about what you are saying.

Many people in Maryville refuse to do business with them-- for various reasons. Some because it is too damn hard to buy a car from them; others because they are too hard to work with to have something done to your car-- INCLUDING WARRANTY WORK.

This article makes Boyles look like a victim of GM when actually they are a victim of themselves.

Maybe they were closed down because they don't service customers... sure, if you buy one of the cars on their lot, they bend over backwards but if you didn't purchase your car from them they absolutely refuse to do warranty work on them. The funny thing is most of the time they wouldn't try to find a particular car for someone so they would HAVE to go elsewhere to purchase it.

Dale-

You are a freakin' idiot who talks out of both sides of his mouth. In one breath, you want to put Obama down (which is your right) but when you get called on the non-truths you want to impress on others, you get defensive.

Go back and read my post. I stated the hypothetical situation...

If you can't run with the big dogs, go sit your butt on the porch.

Let me get this clear... you are an avowed conservative. You are against Obama. You could be considered an "opponent" of Obama, right?

Well, does that mean you 'focus' on his "Muslim years" to try to link him to the "people we are at war with"? So you want to keep reminding people that he went to a Muslim school so they will think he is part of Al Qaeda?

By your way of thinking, it appears you must feel McCain is incapable of carrying the campaign on his own merits so you have to try to cut down the other candidate by implying FALSELY that he associates with the 'people we are at war with"? Why don't you just quit supporting McCain? It seems like that would be the easiest solution.

I think I was the right the first time when I said you are a sad, sad man.

"Explicit" sex ed? What, are they afraid someone wants to show them how to do it? I think the term should be comprehensive sex ed-- meaning to teach all forms of birth control, including abstinence.

Palin has back-pedaled off and on since she first started running for office concerning sex ed. It must who the audience is at the particular moment-- During the gubernatorial race, she supported abstintence only. But she has changed her views lately to say that other methods of birth control should be taught. I guess when in Rome.....

I think we should all take bets on whether Clinton is the first standing president to have an affair while in office.... I know what I would bet :)

Dale--
I about fell off my chair when I read what you wrote. You have got to be joking-- or naive-- to believe that. You truly think this war is a religious war? So the only reason we attacked in Iraq is because they are Muslim? So our whole purpose is to convert the Iraqis to Christianity, or Catholicism, or Judaism, or any other religion besides being Muslim? This war is not a Jihad.

What a sad, sad man you are.

It took me awhile to find it too. I had only seen the clips... I agree, it wasn't a slip of the tongue. It was taken out of context-- and definitely blown out of proportion.

I wonder why so many have tried to focus on the fact that he attended a muslim school for 2 years when he was a child, yet the fact that he also attended a Catholic school for 2 years is rarely brought up?

Gopguy-- I agree that Obama mispoke the other day but I really don't think you wanted to open that can of worms, did you? He mispoke-- I would rather hear someone mispeak (h*ll, I have been known to do it!) that to have someone stand at the RNC and deliberately tell 'mistruths'.

*Thanks but no thanks (yeah, thanks to the money but no thanks, I won't be returning it--She was a strong supporter of the Bridge to Nowhere until it fell apart)

*Obama will ncrease the tax burden to the American people by hundreds of millions of dollars (Actually, over 80% will get a tax CUT-only those at the top will see an increase)

*I fought to bring about the largest private-sector infrastructure project in North American history. And when that deal was struck, we began a nearly $40 billion natural gas pipeline to help lead America to energy independence. (It is NOT a done deal and the pipeline hasn't even been started)

*But listening to him speak, it’s easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or even a reform, not even in the state Senate. (She really needs to check into this further-- Heck, he did more to clean up Illinois politics than anyone in the last 50 years! Unless she has a different idea of what reform is)

I could go on and on but I am sure you get the idea.

Hey ninja guy-- maybe that is the problem with some of these uptight reich wingers-- they DIDN'T smoke enough weed in their younger days ;)

Or how about teaching them how NOT to get pregnant by using birth control! I don't think people are taking a hit at Bristol for being pregnant... I think it is Palin's views that are taking a hit for not working and the prime example is in her own house!

And if you really think about it, pregnancy is probably the least of two evils...I would much rather my child be an unwed mother than to contract HIV from unprotected sex. Education is the start-- the idea of only telling teens about abstintence is ridiculous! They need to know that abstintence is preferred BUT if they make a choice to have sex, there are options for protection!

suzyQ-
It is comments like the one you made about not worrying about McCain because he took time to campaign that ruffles my feathers :) You made an excuse for McCain, yet you were wondering how much Obama had done in the same time frame-- and he was campaigning too. You can't have it both ways...

McCain's record is acceptable all for his years in the Senate but they are nothing to write home about. More emphasis seems to be placed on things like the Keating Five and his poor judgement than what he actually did in the Senate.

Hey, when Palin parades her kids (and one of the kid's sex partner) out there, it opens the gates for comments and jokes. Her kids didn't HAVE to appear on stage. It was a choice she made.
