Thanks Erin for your report. Ephesians says that leadership in a church are to prepare the people to do the work of the ministry and that is what you saw on your trip. The CHURCH (people) doing the work of the ministry--taking care of other parts of the Church. God will continue to bless Elmer and Betty Harris for their work with the people of their county. He will continue to use the rest of the Body of Christ to do just that.
Again, if the Church would do what the Bible says it is to do, welfare would virtually cease to exist in this nation. Pray that it be so!

Here Here!!!
Someone who will tell it like it is. The "stimulus" package was nothing more than Democrat Party pay out for ths past two elections. Folks, we are going to pay the piper for the past 20 years of fiscal stupidity. If this packages stays like it is, we'll just pay him a trillion dollars more in debt. Our grandkids won't have a chance!

Congressman Graves was right on the initial bailout and he's right on this one also. When are we going to realize the money they are spending isn't ours, it's our grandkids. We are saddling them with a debt they will never be able to pay. If the auto industry wants to survive then they need to take some lessons from the foreign automakers down south.

Both Dr. Schaff and Senator Shields have their own perspective on the hospital problem. Senator Shields is employed by a monopoly in NW Missouri--obviously he is going to oppose this move. Seems like a conflict of interest but be that as it may. Dr. Schaff opposes the impact monopolies have in raising the cost of healthcare and wants to see that changed. Is that a conflict of interest? I don't think so but it would be the best thing that could happen in the St. Joseph area if the CON were done away with.
