Glad no one was hurt. The explosion was readily felt and heard at my Deer Park home. I am glad that the news press had the story because it was very disconcerting to be shaken out of bed at 3am. Kudos to the employees and fire department for being on top of their game.

I desperately hope that TEVA can get all these problems taken care of. My husband works there and there are several hundred people employed there. It would a major blow to the St. Joseph economy. And I don't understand what is so LOL about this situation, several hundred families would be devastated if TEVA was forced to close.

I think many, many parents need to heed reminder #1! We can't even go to the Aquatic Park anymore because there are so many kids there that are running amuck, their parents might be there or they may have just dropped the kids off there but either way they are not watching them. And the lifeguards don't do any better of a job to ensure the safety of other swimmers when these unsupervised kids are pushing small children out of the way, taking innertubes from people and being rude and inconsiderate. The City spent all that money for a nice aquatic park that is being overrun by heathens. Way to go, St. Joe parents.

I have stocked up on anti-bacterial wipes and hand santizer and am going to use those everytime I go to the store.
The scary thing about this virus is that it is killing young, healthy adults. The reason it is killing young healthy people is because of their strong immune system. Because of the strong immune system when they are exposed to the new virus that their body has never been exposed too, their immune system is overreacting and causing a cytokine storm. In effect the virus is causing the immune system to go crazy and then kill the person. With the immigrant population here, this is a serious threat.

That story brought a tear to my eye. What a touching and wonderful love story. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this loving couple. Take comfort in the fact that they are together and will be for eternity.

I think the striking employess are getting what they deserve. They decided to strike because they were working too much in a time when people were and still are losing jobs left and right. They should have left well enough alone and just worked their too many hours and had a paycheck to take care of their families. I would love it if my husband would work "too many" hours. There are not many good paying jobs in St. Joe yet these employees decided to bite the hand that feeds them.
I hope they aren't offered any sort of severence package and won't be eligible for any unemployment benefits. That is just what they will deserve.

It was such a beautiful tribute to a real American Hero. His story touched my heart and will continue to do so. He and his family will continue to be in my thoughts a prayers.
Thank you to the entire Kelley family for a sacrifice so great.

It makes me so angry when I see someone in front of me in line at the grocery store with a food stamp card and they have a cart loaded with frozen boxed meals, pizzas, soda, chips, cookies, all the convienence foods that my family is having to do without. Why should they get so much in food stamps that they can buy all brand names, the finest cuts of meat and all the other things I am having to do without. I have a strict grocery budget and I have to feed a family of 4 on it. We don't qualify for food stamps and don't want to.
Food stamps should be more restrictive than WIC. They shouldn't be allowed to get any sort of soda, kool-aid, chips, cookies or any other snack treats like that. Also food stamps should be for the basic things, fresh fruits, veggies, meat, flour, potatoes, rice and things like that that are used in making a homemade meal.
Why should the people on food stamps get to eat all name brands, packaged meals and things while others are cutting back.
It just kills me when the people on food stamps will not buy a single veggie, any fruit or any type of healthy food. But only get junk.
