What a wonderful story.
On ‘We’re attached to each other’
familyguy you state :::" He relies on the community's misguided ideas of competition in health care to promote his personal agenda of bringing down Heartland leadership. What he forgets in his zeal is that more than 3,000 employees rely on Heartland and he is only hurting them".
SO what you are saying is that the community's ideas are misguided ,and once again , in the true Heartland manner, screw the community. They come second... AFTER Heartland and it's employees.. think you just made my argument for me. Yes I am ( for very good reasons MANY reasons. Not just one or two bad experiences but several VERY bad ones) a true Heartland hater. I have told all my family if I am sick or even dying to drive me the 50 miles to KC. I would rather take that chance than go back to Heartland.

Thanks for the thanks: Thank you and bless you.I have two grandsons in Iraq and I pray for them ,and all of you, daily.
By the way "Soldiers for Obama" they both voted for McCain.
Lord, keep
our servicemen and women safe, whether they serve at home or overseas.
Hold them in Your loving hands and protect them as they protect us.
Let's all keep those currently serving and those who have gone before,
in our thoughts. They are the reason for the many freedoms we enjoy.

Mr. Schaaf is representing those of us ,and there are MANY, that hate Heartland and say there should be competition for Heartland. Heartland is a business out to make money and cares more about that than it's patients.Always money first. The nickname Heartless didn't come to life for no reason. Oh and what a great neighbor you are. Glad you don't live by me.

Creepy and morbid:: You have got to be kidding! The family across the street from me go hunting every year and take the 3 sons and the daughter starting going a couple years ago. Deer meat and wild turkey is the main source of meat for them year round. By eating that and not paying high prices for beef and pork at the grocery stores they can afford the heating and electric bills more easily. They do hunt to eat. Many do .Others donate the meat to the shelters so others can eat.Hunting has and always will be around. I also think with out it we would be over run with deer.More accidents where people hit deer on the highways and roads. Hunting does serve a purpose. It also is usually a family outing of grandfathers, fathers and sons.It is far from child abuse. It helps feed families.

JAFO and apmastrangelo:: I agree 100% + .I and many many many others I know have always called it Heart-Less..... no compassion for people. To understaffed to really give good care. They don't care what people say or feel as long as they make those almighty dollars...I will drive to K.C.
Don't bully in church..... If it bothers you that much go to the elders of your church and let them handle it. I think going to the IRS is a little outragious.
My Response::It may be ,in your view ,outrageous BUT they broke the law. Just like any other crime it should be reported. That's why we have laws to follow, if not than why have them. The law is the law and it is not up to us to say who needs to follow the laws, we ALL should. Even a church. What they did was commit a crime. If your neighbor committed a crime you would report it ,what makes a church that breaks the law any different?

Don’t bully in church:: It is against the law.You should turn them in. No one has the right to tell you how to vote. Especially your church. They are breaking the law and need to be turned in. A crime is a crime and if you know a crime has been committed it is your duty to turn them in. If not they will continue to break the law. Some just feel they are above the law. They're not!
