As long as we are lining up with our hands out to get that free money, what else matters....Anyone who is participating in spending a dime of the money that we do not have should be ashamed... When your grandkids cannot afford to have any type of quality of living, becaue they are trying to pay our debt back to the Chinese, I am sure they won't give a damn what silly project the money went to.
Some things are more important then the mighty dollar. It doesn't matter who it costs what, and frankly I would never ride without a helmet either, but who has the ride to decide? You let Government into your life on things that you think do not matter to you, they will eventually get into your life on things that do. What about the obesity rate of children? Costing the taxpayers a ton...Should we make taking your child to the dairy queen illiegal? The list of things that we do that are probably not the best for us is endless, but we do not want the government deciding those things for us. This country was never intended to be like this, and people need to quit always looking to government to regulate..Personal responsibility! Seat belt laws are also rediculous, but it at least laws like these are ensuring that the police stay off the backs of drug dealers and pedophiles????
The supreme court nominee may very well be a good candidate, or she may not, but any conservative out there that thinks using the race card is going to get them anywhere is showing their ignorance. Debate her positions, and the rulings she has decided, the rest is irrelevant..this typical knee jerk uneducated soundbyte ignorance spewed by all the media outlets is why this country is where we are at, and in case you are wondering, I am a conservative republican who voted for John Mccain, I just have common sense, when the republican party gets some we may be able to win again.
Return the power to the people? I think you are the one that needs to do your research my friend, to start with the founding fathers of this country were a group of wealthy elitist buisnessmen that would be very happy about the way this country is...up till now with President Obama of course. We have the greatest people, the greatest military, and the greatest country in the world. People need to open their eyes and understand we need to fix some things, but if you start trying to change it all, none of us will like where it ends up. With that I am going to go get a big mac, and in your honor I think I will charge it!!!
